My son is in Kindergarten and he has excellent teachers that pay very close attention to his learning needs. He is a smart child but not 'gifted' He has a slight problem with his speech and the teachers noticed immediatly and he is getting extra help with that. As a very concerned parent when it comes to education, this is a very good public school with a very involved PTA and staff of teachers. Better than the schools in Huntington Beach where I grew up.

I would not recommend this school if you have a gifted child because there is no gifted program until 4th grade. My son is in 1st grade and was accelerated to 2nd grade for a week on a trial basis until we met resistance from the 2nd grade teacher and he is now on independent study at home because the school was unable to accommodate him. Although, I must say when my son was in kindergarten he had wonderful teachers who took the extra time to pull him aside and do extra work with him. They even sent home a summer packet of work. Thanks to them he was definitely ready for 1st grade, but the 1st grade teacher dropped the ball and took no extra time with him since he knew the work she was giving. I would have to say I do not recommend this school for gifted children.

The school provided adequate facilities and a good learning environment. The teachers and staff are very responsive and active in my childs development. I have a son that attends the 5th grade and is always egger to go to school.
