This Anaheim school is not very good. Since it is the only school not in Anaheim Hills attending Anaheim Hills middle/high, many students feel alienated by their much wealthier couterparts at the higher grade levels (7+).

The school appears to be very behind in the quality of academics programs being offered. This means all children suffer. The school has made some playground improvements, but is still not where it needs to be. I believe the school is in need of various areas of improvement, but it will take the school staff, parents and community to accomplish this.

My child just started Kindergarten, I am suprised with the grounds - the playground equipment is sub-par. It just seems like a small school with little resources. I don't see how it can compare with the schools close by like Nohl Canyon. I an encoraged by the good teacher but it is still to early to tell if I am going to like Riverdale or if my chlid will be successful there. I am very pleased with the SAC program and staff.

As in any public setting, it is very difficult to please everyone. However, many things are said and done in front of the kids that I find completely inappropriate. A great numbr of the teachers really care and I hope they continue teaching until that changes. Unfortunately, I also think there are employees of the school (some teachers included) that are simply there for a paycheck. That's not good for teh children. In addition, we all need to work together for better funding for the school systems.

I think this is a great school. I think the principal is great too.

I wish the school had a larger grass area and an updated playground

This school is different than surrounding schools. It does not have a GATE program. Our GATE sudents are sent to other schools.

I find it interesting that parents can complain about a school when they don't bother to participate themselves in PTA and volunteering. The last PTA meeting I attended had four parents present. I know the teachers work very hard at this school and and care about our children. Isn't an older teacher more experienced and able to help our children? Instead of complaining, get involved and actually see what the teachers and students accomplish each day! My child is very happy at Riverdale School!

This school really needs a make over. School grounds look terrible. Why doesn't this school have a volunteer progam where principal, teachers, students and parents have for (2) week-ends have a complete make-over? I am sure that the students parents work for paint stores, grass, flowers, etc. I also believe that we need to get younger teachers in this school and possible to the school score could get into the 700's or 800's like the other schools nereby.

I have a former student that attended Riverdale and the current student is in 1st grade. I hope he does not fall behind the other schools in the districts with the low ratings the school is receiving. I do not feel the principal is friendly. I have volunteered to help and never been called. I did have good help with tutoring but that was because I made the principal aware that there was money available for a tutor through the OUSD Native American Program. She knew nothing of the program previously.
