I also love this school. My husband and I are proud that this school has been a part of our family for years. My husband and my brother in-law attended this school. Now all 3 of my children are attending as well. I haven't been a real active parent but that is going to change. I am actually trying to get more parental involvment. Great Job Mrs Peregrina. Many may not like the policies and procedures that you have implemented. Test scores are up!

Roosevelt is a great school. All of the teachers have been great with my son. They always know how to bring out the best in him. This school has several extracurricular activities throughout the year. Parent involvement at the school is poor, but PTA does an awesome job on pulling it together. Test scores have dramatically increased during the last couple of years. GOOD JOB ROOSEVELT!

I agree that at our school t uses uniforms, thats way I assisted every month meetings so I can vote for all the absents parents. Thats way we as a parents need to be involved in our child education and go to meetings. Usually there are only 5 to 8 parents out of 650. I really like that our kids are using uniform and also this principal is making our school scores going up. Because for the past three year before she came in our scores were declining. So keep up the good job Roosevelt Principal.

I love this school. My son goes is going to start 1st grade and i don't agree with the passing of the uniforms. I think its wrong to enforce the kids to wear them. We as parents should be able to dress our kids the way we want.

I have 3 kids here. The teachers are outstanding. Only had a problem with one over the past 5 years. Office staff is incrediably rude though! Not sure about the new principal yet but the old one was fantastic. The school does alot of activities that other schools dont do, seems to be alot of parental involvment too. All in all its a good school....just stay involved so your kids dont fall behind. The majority at the school is ESL, so if your child is not you will want to make sure he/she is learning at a normal pace.

Roosevelt is a great school. My children have had caring teachers who go the extra mile by offering after school tutoring and before school assistance. The teachers have been available when I have had questions or concerns about my children. Thank you teachers.

Roosevelt doesn't make the grade in my book. The education my stepson has received/is receiving is below average. As a third grader, he is struggling with things that would be considered late first grade/ early second grade level. At home, it's almost as if we have to re-teach him everything because he doesn't understand or grasp the concept of how the teacher has explained it. The communication between the teachers and the parents is poor.

This school is pretty weak and your kid will not learn much here. Consider it a babysitting service with a few activities thrown in.

Overall this is a good school but as in any work situation personalities must interact and in this location the students & parents sometimes suffer because of the difficulty in communication among staff.
