The teachers knowledge is fair. The academic program is not very aggressive. The type of teaching tends to be very rote in nature. There is not an emphasis on the students extrapolating information and learning the reasons behind what they are learning. The amount of knowledge the students are expected to retain is minimal. The academics tend to be behind that of other better private schools. Teachers can be very partial to certain parents/family members. We have actually had bad experiences with some teachers being rude and disrespectful towards us as parents. There should be an emphasis on practicing the message they claim they are trying to send as a "Christian" school.

I have to say that I made a huge mistake by switching her to this school. They pretend that my 2 years old kid eat cold food because they are too lazy to warm up the kids' food. My questions to you, Do you eat cold food??? Then, the principal never talk to me about their closing dates and never gave me a calendar until I had paid. Obviously, It was too late to say NO. DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE I MADE! FIND ANOTHER SCHOOL WHERE MONEY IS NOT MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE CHILDREN!

it is a loving, safe environment for our children to learn. The teachers and school staff are educators and there for the welfare of the kids.

Teahcers are very qualified and know how to teach to the students. They care about the students and will take extra time to help you. Principal is a great leader. She is always their to listen. Great Science Lab and Gym. Anybody would be lucky to be at Zion.

My youngest child has been at Zion for 6 years. We love this school! The Principal is excellent and committed to children/school. The field trips are appropriate to the grade. Parent participation could be better. The majority of the teachers are excellent and the few others who are not are willing to work with you to become a better fit to your family. My child receives a quality education, good moral direction and spends 7 hours in an environment which reflects the high level of care and concern from everyone on staff from maintenance workers to the Principal!

I was highly disappointed with this school. The decision, leadership, and lack of honesty from the principal overshadowed the wonderful teaching skills from the kindergarden classroom. The main focus of this school seems to be that of how much money they can bring in rather than the overall welfare of the children. Even with their extra curricular activities- additional, high amounts of cash are expected, or the child is overlooked. The school is focused on the bottom line over the moral and educational standards they should be instilling as a Christian school. The curriculum/education that is being given in the public schools that our children are now attending are at the same level as Zion, while the morals are superior without the dent in our checkbooks.

Both of my children have been with Zion since preschool and we love it. The teachers are educated, caring, and more than willing to go out of their way to help student's with any academic and/or social, emotional concerns, and increase student's success. The principal,Mrs.Kangas, is awesome. She is connected with the children and parents. This school has programs and extra cirricular activities, a lunch program, before and after school care, and etc. The school also relies on parent involvment to contribute to the children's success and learning experience.
